Northern Youth Fiddlers
Here are some of the fiddle groups that will be playing during Trappers’.
The Frontier Fiddlers’ group consist of approximately 100 young fiddlers from Frontier School Division who have joined together with The Pas Metis Youth Fiddlers to perform at Trappers' Festival. They are arriving from Northern communities such as Gillam, Norway House, Cross Lake, Wabowden, Cranberry Portage, Cormorant, Barrows, Pelican Rapids and Sapotaweyak. Frontier Fiddlers will be performing at various places around The Pas for two days at no or charge.
Wednesday, February 18 4:00 – 5:00 pm Robert Isfeld & JJ Guy At the Otineka Mall: playing for the Jigging Contest
Thursday, February 19 Fiddle Contest at Otineka Mall
3:00 pm ages 12 and under
3:30 pm ages 12 to 18
4:00 pm Adult fiddlers
all pre-registration up to 10 contestants
Friday, February 20 Frontier Fiddlers
10:45 am –11:15 am Uptown Mall
At Festival Headquarters across from Dairy Queen
Friday, February 20 1:30 pm Cormorant Fiddlers at St. Paul’s Residence
Friday, February 20 MBCI Fiddle Group Performing at Stage Show
Stage Show starts at 7:00 pm at Opasquia School
Saturday, February 21 The Pas Metis Youth Fiddlers
